Four Employees Receive Special Awards during Methodist Hospitals’ 2018 Employee Service Awards Banquet

methodist-Awards-Banquet-Award-Winners-2018Methodist Hospitals has a tradition of honoring its employees by holding an annual service awards banquet to recognize employees for their years of service in 5 year increments ranging from 5 to 45 years. 

This year 321 employees were recognized with over 400 guests in attendance. “We host many events each year, but our Annual Service Awards Banquet is one of the biggest and by far the most important, “said Raymond Grady, President & CEO of Methodist Hospitals. In addition awards were given for Safety Star of the Year, Employee of the Year, Leader of the Year and Humanitarian of the Year. The following individuals were honored as follows:

Father Joseph Uko - Humanitarian of the Year, Chaplain, Spiritual Care Department
The Humanitarian of the Year award is intended to recognize Methodist Hospitals’ employees who, apart from excellent performance at work, have also made a great impact on the lives of people in the communities we serve. This award is meant to encourage Methodist employees to go out and make a difference in the world around us.

Heather Carroll - Safety Star of the Year, Registered Nurse, Unit 2W3
The purpose of the Safety Star of the year is to recognize staff that model safety behavior and have made a major contribution to improving safety for our patients and staff by reducing errors and harm.

Biljana Dobrijevic, Employee of the Year, Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse 5W1
The purpose of the Employee of the year Award is to recognize an employee for their outstanding contributions, exceptional accomplishments and behavior that exemplified our Model of Care and Conduct.

Deborah Prewitt, Leader of the Year, Therapy Services
The purpose of the Leader of the Year Award is to recognize a supervisor, manager or director who is judged by their peers to embody the values, mission, vision and Model of Care and Conduct of Methodist Hospitals, including our I-Care Values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence. This year two leaders received this award.
