Home Instead Senior Care Provides Hopeful Care to Seniors

Home Instead Senior Care recognizes the value of aging at home. When families are faced with tough decisions regarding their aging loved ones, Home Instead Senior Care wants to provide the opportunity for seniors to remain in their home, promoting a happy, hopeful lifestyle.

Going above and beyond what most senior care organizations offer, Home Instead Senior Care strives to change the face of aging entirely. The care provided by Home Instead is not just intended to meet the needs of the patient. Rather, the staff at Home Instead Senior Care wants to change the perspective of aging adults.

Senior care and the process of aging is often associated with fear, loneliness, isolation, and becoming institutionalized. Home Instead Senior Care is changing that mentality for seniors across the world. With a strong belief that aging should be a time of hope and family, Home Instead Senior Care endeavors to make their clients see aging as a time of promise, companionship, and quality time at home.

The idea behind Home Instead Senior Care came when trying to meet the needs of one grandmother. At 100 years old, Grandma Manhart inspired grandson Paul Hogan and his wife, Lori, to create a senior care network that could improve the lives of other aging adults and their loved ones.

Paul Hogan and his wife first ran the small business from the dining room table at his mother’s house in 1994. Believing that compassionate care should be available to every aging senior, the Hogans quickly grew their business. Today, Home Instead Senior Care is the largest senior care organization in the world, with the Home Instead Senior Care network including more than 1,000 franchise offices.

Home Instead Senior Care understands that each senior’s needs and situations are unique. To best accommodate its clients, Home Instead offers tailored services to each individual family, and the services are adjusted as needs and situations change and evolve.

As part of their efforts to provide the best care possible, Home Instead Senior Care places a strong emphasis on the relationship between patients and their caregivers. Having a strong relationship promotes better support for those receiving care, protects the dignity of the patient, and enhances the quality of life for families and their aging loved ones.

In addition to providing excellent at-home care, Home Instead Senior Care strives to give back to the community and to inspire change. In line with these values, Home Instead gives generously through several community initiatives.

In 2003, the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation was founded. The foundation has invested nearly $2 million in nonprofit organizations that serve seniors. Its signature program, GIVE65, is the only crowd-fundraising platform that exclusively raises funds and awareness for programs and services that give seniors hope.

Home Instead Senior Care also gives back through Ready to Care, an initiative created in 2018 to enhance the lives of seniors through social change, and through various community service programs, including Be a Santa to a Senior and Hilarity for Charity in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Their motto, “To us, it’s personal,” is taken to heart by every staff member of Home Instead Senior Care. It is with this vision in mind that Home Instead provides individualized care, builds long-lasting and meaningful relationships, and enhances the lives of the clients and their families within the community.

By offering support, hope, and laughter to aging adults in the comfort of their home, Home Instead Senior Care strives to make the world a better place for seniors.
