The Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County will present "Letting Go Of Your Worries" at locations in Lake and Porter Counties in August. This informational program will provide attendees with an increased knowledge of how to control the worry and anxiety that senior citizens experience. This will enable them to recognize when they need to consult their healthcare provider in order to prevent medical complications. The importance of a healthy lifestyle and seeking healthcare assistance when appropriate will be emphasized as it relates to worry and anxiety. 
- August 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Merrillville Senior Center at Merrillville High School. (276 E. 68th Place)
- August 12 at 12:15 p.m. at Village Park Enrichment Center at Banta. (605 Beech St., Valparaiso)
- August 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Linden House in Hobart. (360 West 61st Street, behind St. Mary's Hospital)
- August 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Jamestown Apartments Community Center. (Virginia Park Drive, Valparaiso)
