Porter Health System Welcomes Family Medicine Physician Michael Mirochna, MD

Porter Health System has announced that Michael Mirochna, MD, has joined the hospital’s network of family practice physicians. He is currently seeing patients at Vale Park Primary Care located at 401 Wall Street in Valparaiso as well as at Lake Porter Medical located at 336 W. US Highway 30 in Valparaiso.

A graduate of the Chicago Medical School, Mirochna completed a family medicine internship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona. Following his internship, he served as a resident at St. Vincent Family Medicine in Indianapolis.

“When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to attend a medical camp,” shared Mirochna, “and it was then I knew I wanted to be a doctor.” He went on to say that he finds family medicine particularly interesting because it allows him exposure to many different areas of medicine.

With his specialty in family medicine, Mirochna treats patients of all ages and with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses. He is also very committed to preventive medicine and provides services such as sport, school and annual physicals, immunizations and seasonal flu shots.
