John Lynam, DO, joins fellow urologists Dr. Adam Perlmutter and Dr. Namir Shaba in practice at Lakeshore Urology. The group has offices in Valparaiso, Portage, Knox and Plymouth, Indiana.
Lynam began his medical career as a hospital caseworker. He then attended Western University of Health Science College in Pomona, California and completed his residency in general and urological surgery at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. “One of the reasons I decided to pursue urology is because I can perform surgery and I also have the chance to build a rapport with my patients when I see them in the office,” said Lynam.
The physicians at Lakeshore Urology offer minimally invasive robotic surgery, which have been shown to reduce some of the complications associated with urologic surgery. Lakeshore Urology is currently using the da Vinci robotic system for a select number of surgeries. In addition to surgery, Lynam and his associates offer non-surgical treatment for conditions for a number of urologic issues in men and women.
