Alzheimer’s Association Volunteer Opportunities

Do you have a little spare time?
Are you interested in giving back to your community?
Are you interested in learning new skills?
Would you like to gain experience to add to your resume?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Alzheimer's Association could use your talents and time. Volunteer activities may include telephone calls, mailings, e-mail contacts, data entry, internet research, social networking, fundraising, event management or the Advisory Council. Depending upon your interest and/or availability, time requirements can range from:

  • One-time project for an hour or two
  • One-time event for a few hours
  • Event management for a couple of hours each month and possibly monthly meetings for a few months
  • Advisory Council/Board for a couple of hours each month and monthly meetings on an on-going basis

Persons who have a family member or friend with memory loss or knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and/or dementia are encouraged to apply. For more information, please contact Louise Thompson, Community Services Liaison, at the Alzheimer's Association at 219-464-9600 or louise.thompson@alz.org.
