5th Annual VNA Tree Ceremony To Remember Loved Ones

Since 1983, the Visiting Nurse Association has provided compassionate comfort and care to those living with a terminal illness through the VNA hospice program. In celebration of the lives of patients cared for over the years, VNA volunteer group, Friends of Hospice, will sponsor the 5th Annual Hospice Tree Ceremony.

Anyone in the community who wishes to remember a loved one this holiday season is invited to attend this heartwarming ceremony, where handmade personalized ornaments will be placed on the VNA Hospice Tree of Remembrance. Ornaments are available through a donation amount of your choice, which will in turn help the VNA continue to provide hospice care to those in need.

The VNA Hospice Tree Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 6th at 6:00 P.M. at the new Valparaiso Family YMCA located at 1201 Cumberland Crossing in Valparaiso. If you are not able to attend the ceremony but would like to remember a loved one - ornaments can be purchased and mailed to you or a person of choice.

Those wishing to participate should send their loved one's name, photograph (if desired for a slide show at the ceremony) and a check made payable to the VNA Foundation to 2401 Valley Drive, Valparaiso, to be received by December 1st. For more information about the Tree Ceremony, please contact the VNA Development office at 531-8049.
