Porter Health System Celebrates American Heart Month with Cooking Personality Graham Kerr- Yes, the Galloping Gourmet!

Internationally known culinary and TV personality, Graham Kerr – yes, the Galloping Gourmet – will present “2020 – Upstream or Downstream: Ways to make positive, lasting changes to improve our lifestyles and health” at 5 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Sand Creek Country Club, 1001 Sand Creek Drive in Chesterton.

Once called the “Most Dangerous Man in America” by the Heart and Stroke Foundation due to the high fat, high calorie recipes featured on his influential cooking program, Kerr transformed his cooking and lifestyle to a healthful approach in the mid-eighties and continues to share it today with others around the world.

Evening highlights will include a progressive heart-healthy dinner buffet featuring some of Graham Kerr’s recipes and heart-healthy educational booths. Kerr will also be selling signed copies of his latest best-selling books.

The cost of Kerr’s presentation is $15 – and free for current Senior Circle members. As a special one-time promotion: Anyone age 50 and over will receive a complimentary Senior Circle annual membership (value $15) – making the program pay for itself.
