On April 10th, the Purdue North Central Women’s Association (PNCWA) hosted the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County SMART Girls Graduation of 80 girls ranging in age from 8 - 17 at Purdue North Central. The SMART Girls Program is designed to develop positive behavior, character traits and values in girls. To qualify for graduation each girl had participated in enrichment activities including life skills, nutrition, fitness, mentoring, computer assistance, teambuilding, conflict management, self esteem and higher education.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County is committed to continuing to offer girl-only groups opportunities such as the Smart Girls Program to encourage healthy attitudes and lifestyles that will enable early adolescent girls to develop to their full potential.
