Holly Days in Downtown Valparaiso

Join Us on Friday, December 4th, 2009 starting at 5pm in front of the Memorial Opera House and the Porter County Museum for the second annual Santa and Mrs. Claus Arrival and Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.

While you wait for Santa’s and Mrs. Claus’s arrival you will be entertained by North Poles biggest stars, Holly & JJ Jolly. Then watch as Santa and his helpers light the 21ft Holiday Tree in a way that is North Pole Spectacular! You will be able to then join Santa and Mrs. Claus for pictures inside the museum until 7pm.

This is an outside event and patrons are asked to dress appropriately.

Special Holly Days and Live Nativity events include:

Take a train ride around the courthouse square. Stroll through downtown to the stores and restaurants for treats and specials. Listen to Christmas carols sung by the local Girl Scout Troops. Visit the Live Nativity scene on the courthouse square.

Santa and Mrs. Claus “The Official Santa of downtown Valparaiso” will both be at the Memorial Opera House stage December 5th – 19th from 10am to 2pm * Saturdays Only * Don’t stand in long lines at the mall. No other place has both Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Children can visit with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, bring their letters to Santa, purchase pictures, join in a sing a long, and visit the Porter County Museum next door for stories with North Pole storytellers and more Holiday Fun!
