In celebration of American Heart Month, Porter Health System will present a series of heart-healthy programs to help educate the community on the prevention and treatment of heart disease – the leading cause of death of both men and women according to the American Heart Association.

It is estimated that by the age of 65, up to 20% of the population will have peripheral artery disease (PAD), a circulatory problem in which there is partial or total blockage of an artery in a leg or arm.
