Porter Health System's Healthy Woman Program Presents "Your Emergency Room- When Should You Visit?"

To help women better understand when they should – or shouldn’t – visit the Emergency Room, Porter Health System’s Healthy Woman program will present an educational seminar, “Your Emergency Room – When Should You Visit?” by William Yount, MD. The program will be held at 6:30 pm, on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Porter Education and Rehabilitation Campus located at 1401 Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso.

Dr.Yount, a Level I Emergency Medicine Physician, is board certified in emergency medicine and conducted his residency McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. That evening, Dr. Yount will address when you or your family’s medical problem truly warrants a trip to the ER.

Porter’s Healthy Woman program is a free community resource designed to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Program benefits for members include monthly health and lifestyle presentations, health resources and communications.
