Valparaiso sophomore Peter Webb (Madison, Wis./James Madison Memorial) has been named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week after leading the Crusaders in their opening tournament of the spring campaign at the Bash at the Beach Collegiate Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Webb earned a tie for tenth place in the 108-golfer field with a solid, consistent performance over the tournament’s three rounds. The sophomore came out firing in his first round of the spring with a 2-under-par 69, and followed with rounds of 72 and 70 to close the 54-hole event with a 2-under-par cumulative score of 211.
Webb, who was named the league’s Golfer of the Week for the third time in his career, and the rest of the Crusaders return to the links in 10 days down south in Delhi, La., competing at the Wallace Jones Warhawk Invitational.
