Purdue Calumet Series Final at PNC Suspended, Postponed for Monday

PUC-PeregrinsThe Purdue University Baseball team’s series finale at Purdue North Central was suspended due to inclement weather midway through Sunday’s contest with the Peregrines up, 10-3.

Junior John Cristo (Munster, Ind./Munster) connected for the Peregrines’ (11-5, 4-5 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference) program-first home run in the bottom of the second to put Purdue Calumet up, 3-2, before the squad scored seven more runs in a big second frame.

The game will resume in the top of the fourth with the Peregrines leading, 10-3, in Monday’s rescheduled start beginning at 3:30 p.m. at PNC’s Hicks Field in Westville, Ind.

Purdue Calumet returns home for a twin bill with league foe Judson University Tuesday, March 31, beginning at 2 p.m. (CT) at Dowling Park’s Albert’s Diamond Jewelers Field.
