VU-Micah-Bradford-Inks-NLI-With-Crusader-Mens-BasketballThe Valparaiso University men’s basketball program announced today that guard Micah Bradford, a senior at Bradley-Bourbonnais [Ill.] H.S., has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Crusader program as a freshman for the 2016-17 season.

“Our staff has been following Micah for quite a while, and we are thrilled that he will be joining our team next year,” said Crusader head coach Bryce Drew. “Micah is very gifted on the offensive end and comes from a great basketball family. We look forward to him having a great senior year and then getting on campus to help our program for next season. Valpo fans will really enjoy watching Micah play with the talented things he can do with the basketball.”

A top-20 prospect in the Illinois Class of 2016, Bradford averaged 21 points per game while leading Bradley-Bourbonnais to 20 wins last season. A highly creative scorer, the 6’0” Bradford also stood out during the summer playing for the Example Sports travel squad. The addition of Bradford continues the Crusaders’ pipeline to Illinois, as nearly half of the Valpo squad this season – six of 14 players – call the Land of Lincoln home.
