The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s swimming teams announced their schedule for the 2016-17 season today, a slate which opens this weekend at Butler and features five home swim meets at the ARC pool.
Action begins for the Crusaders Sunday afternoon at the Butler Double Dual in Fishers, Ind. The teams then come home to host Green Bay (Oct. 15) and Evansville (Oct. 21) before competing at the Indiana Intercollegiates in West Lafayette on Oct. 22.
The fall semester schedule continues on the road at Eastern Illinois (Oct. 29) and Saginaw Valley State (Nov. 6) before two more home meets, as the Crusaders welcome Western Illinois (Nov. 12) and Rose-Hulman (Nov. 18) to the ARC. The fall semester concludes with the Calvin Winter Invite in Grand Rapids, Mich. from Dec. 1-3.
Following the holiday break, Valpo returns to action Jan. 21 at Lewis and Jan. 22 at the Butler Invitational. The final regular season meet will be at home on Jan. 28 as the Crusaders host Eastern Illinois at the ARC. Valpo will then take nearly a month away from competition, prepping to be in top form as it heads to the 2017 Horizon League Championship Feb. 22-25, hosted by UIC.
