Valparaiso High School junior Adam Sandberg is a fierce local athlete who has qualified to compete in the 2013 Age Group World Triathlon Championships in London, England, September 10-September 17, 2013. Adam will compete on Sunday, September 15 in the Olympic Distance event. He will swim 1500 meters (.93 mile), bike 40 kilometers (24 miles) and run 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) in and around Hyde Park.
The expense of this opportunity is staggering. He and his family would love to be able to make this a week-long family adventure. They plan to stay in a family hostel within walking distance of the event venue. They need your help funding this amazing opportunity! If, and when, the Sandberg's reach their goal, they will get Adam officially registered, book flights and make reservations at a hostel.
