Young Man Looking to Join Elite Valpo Athletics Tradition

conner-tenhove-1Conner TenHove will be a sophomore at Valparaiso High School this year and is looking forward to playing varsity basketball and baseball. He is on course to join the elite Valpo athletics fraternity alongside the likes of Bryce Drew, Robbie Hummel, Scott Martin and Jeff Samardzija.

This summer, Conner played AAU basketball with the 15U Indiana Elite 2016 team out of Bloomington. They are a 26-year-old program with alumni that include Cody Zeller, Yogi Ferrell, Jordan Hulls, DJ Byrd, and numerous NBA players.

At one point this season they were 41-0 with best start of any team in program history and were ranked #2 in the nation. They finished up 51-4 winning 6 of the 9 tournaments they entered including tournaments in Dallas, Las Vegas, Chicago and several in Indy.

The team is comprised of 11 boys from all over the state including Evansville, Bloomington, Lafayette, Indy, and four boys from the Region (Conner from Valpo, DJ Wilkins from Merrillville, and Tremmel and Tony Murphy from Griffith). They are an Adidas sponsored team and participated in many company activities and events.

Conner is currently 6’6” 180 and should grow a couple more inches. He is a lefty pitcher in baseball and will play fall travel baseball with the 17U Breakers out of Valparaiso.
