The Valparaiso High School boys soccer team kicked off their Duneland Athletic Conference schedule with a 6-1 win over La Porte High School on Wednesday, August 21st.
For the VIkings, Luke Kovar led the way with three goals, while Jacob Wallace added two and Ryan Miles added one. Bennett Van Schouwen, Jose Apolo, Michael Deedrick, Joseph Gibson and Kovar all notched assists for Valpo.
Jon Aaron scored La Porte’s only goal, unassisted, while Carter Huber saved 9 shots.
La Porte’s JV team won 2-0 on goals from Jose Martinez and Alex Miramontes.
