Valparaiso High School Girls Volleyball Ranked Nationally in Latest MaxPreps Poll

Valpo-VikingVBall-1Congratulations are in order for undefeated Valparaiso High School Girl’s Volleyball, whose 29-0 record has earned them a national ranking of 11 in MaxPreps.com’s Xcellent 25 rankings.

The ranking comes on the heels of four dominant wins over teams with a combined record of 86-26, including two DAC rivals (Lake Central and Crown Point) and nationally-ranked Fort Wayne Carroll, whose defeat at the hands of the Vikings was only the second of the season.

Valpo joins three other Indiana schools in the rankings, along with Indianapolis Cathedral (1), previously mentioned Carroll (21), and Yorktown (18).

The Vikings are also ranked in MaxPreps’ National Computer Rankings coming in at 23.

Valpo Volleyball’s next game is an away game against Bishop Noll today, Oct. 14. This is the final regular season game before sectionals begin on Oct. 22, where the Vikings will begin their run to State in an opening match against Michigan City in the Chesterton Sectional.
