Ben Franklin Cross Country Sweeps Crown Point Wheeler

vhs_logoThe Vikings came prepared to put their many weeks of hard training to good use and it paid off. All grades swept Crown Point Wheeler on this beautiful season opener with an overall excellent performance.

The 8th grade girls defeated Crown Point Wheeler 17 to 54 with Ellie Joll’s winning time of 12:01. Sydne Nosbusch finished second followed close behind Lexi Ferngren ,Julia Dooley, and Sara Kupsis.

Daniel Dalton led the 8th grade boys to a 22 to 39 victory. Danny had a winning time of 11:01 and set a powerful pace for the team. Ethan McChristian came in close behind for third place followed by Michael Gerry, John Buggelin, and Ben Hardwick.

 

The seventh grade girls had a successful night in defeating Crown Point Wheeler 18 to 42. Julia Rhode received first for the girls with a time of 7:29. Placing second at 7:47 was Emily Miltenberger followed by Allie DeTorrice, Mollie Palinca, and Grace Bolinger.

The seventh grade boys ran a close race with a score of 27 to 30, but prevailed in the end. Ian Holmes led the way with a commanding time of 7:21. Theran Coulopolous came in a close second at 7:21:65 and was followed by Gianni Pupillo, Caleb Gall, and Nathan Mathew.

Our sixth grade girls defeated Crown Point Wheeler with a score of 22 to 47. Tori Dawson started the season off on the right foot finishing first with a time of 8:16. Taesa Stock received third at 8:22 and was followed behind by Logan Ferngren, Mary Warner, and Elena Kipp.

And finally, the sixth grade boys conquered the field with the top six places. The team’s 15 to 63 victory was led by Carlos Martinez with a time of 7:24. Gunnar Pullins took second place followed closely behind Cameron Brice, Blaise Sellers, and Riley Sorrick.
