Thomas Jefferson Middle School "B" Team hosted this year's football game 
at the Viking Arena against their cross town rival, Benjamin Franklin Middle School on October 17, 2011. Thomas Jefferson was decked out in their green uniforms, with Benjamin Franklin dressed in their white uniforms. Some of the players were even sporting pink as part of their uniform for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Both teams were pumped up and ready for the show to start the moment they walked onto the field.
Shortly after the game began, Thomas Jefferson ran the football down to the end zone for a touchdown. However, Benjamin Franklin retaliated with a touchdown of their own before the first quarter ended leaving the score 8-6 in Thomas Jefferson's favor. 
Thomas Jefferson dominated the second quarter by scoring the only touchdown. At the end of the first half, the score was Thomas Jefferson- 14 and Ben Franklin-6.
Late in the 4th quarter, Ben Franklin's offense took over and scored against Thomas Jefferson's defense, bringing the score to a tie 14-14 with 2:25 left on the clock. Both teams put their heart and soul into the game up to the very end of the game, but no one from either team was able to score another touchdown to break the tie. So until next year, Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin Middle School "B" Teams are both the 2011 winners!
