BFMS 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Recap vs. LaPorte Kesling

The 7th grade “A” volleyball team was battle-tested last night as they beat LaPorte Kessling 25-22, 25-11 in Boucher gym. Sam and Rachel were great in the passing game and Brooke and Mia connected on some hard hits up front. Abbey and Katie set the ball well and Brittany did a nice job as setter for the first time this year.

The 7th grade “B” team played two very exciting games last night and came away with a 25-19, 25-14 victory. In game one, Kathryn and Abbi had excellent passing games while Jayde knocked down two huge hits at the end of the game. Jolie helped put the Slicers away with some very consistent serves and the girls were determined to win. In game two, Caitlyn dominated from the service line and Lysi Hooks continues to improve. Karla and Vic were solid all-around and the girls led for most of this game. We would like to thank Mr. Roberts for officiating the game. The girls will be back at action on Thursday as they battle their rivals from TJ. Please come and support your Vikes.

 

The 8th grade A and B volleyball teams traveled to Laporte Kesling yesterday and defeated the Lady Komets...The A team came out playing strong with the scores being 25-15 and 25-16. Julia Dalton led the team with 9 aces and 2 kills, and as well as Kassie Fescko with 7 aces and 2 kills and Timi Stiscak with 4 aces and 4 kills as well.

As for the B team, the girls showed the Lady Komets just how to come out strong and not back down to a challenge with the scores of 25-10 and 25-11. Alissa Alselm and Emmy Chojecki had 7 aces a piece and Alissa also had 3 kills, and Meredith Hite had 5 aces and 2 kills. Congrats to both teams for playing hard. The lady Vikings play their rivals TJ this up and coming Thursday at 4:30 at TJ. Come out and support your Lady Vikings!
