You're invited to the Valparaiso Hockey Club's 3rd Annual Golf Classic. The date of the event is Sunday, August 14th with a shotgun start at 1pm CDT. Please see the attached flyers for details on golfer, foursome, and sponsor information.
This has become a GREAT fundraiser for the VHC the last 2 years. Last year we netted over $2500 which helped pay for 10 hours of additional ice time for the team. And at a cost of only $50 per golfer - it is one of the least expensive golf outings around, especially when you consider it includes:
- 18 holes of golf including cart
- Beverages (non-alcoholic) on the course BYOB - It's OK to bring your favorite adult beverages along to make your outing even more enjoyable
- Bar B Q dinner following the round
- Prizes for low gross, low net, longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, etc...
Furthermore, hole sponsorships are available for only $100! It's a very inexpensive way to support our high school sports organization.
I should also note the event is played in a "team/scramble" format so you don't have to be a pro golfer to enjoy yourself. In fact, it has been a great outing for father/sons, father/daughters, husband/wives, couples, etc. A number of players participate and we even have a neighborhood group come up. The larger the group - the better. In fact, if we can get to 100 golfers this year, we will get a $5 per golfer discount.
