The 2013 Valparaiso Vikings 10U Baseball Travel Team improved their record to 6-1, going 4-0 in the BBQ Bash Tournament in Lakeville, IN.
During a weather related shortened Pool Round the 10U Vikings outscored their opponents (Valparaiso Bombers, Northern Indiana Cardinals) 29-2 and obtained the #1 Seed heading into the Elimination Round. The 10U Vikings then went on to beat the Chesterton Vipers 14-2, and in the Championship game, defeated the School of Hard Knocks Landsharks 5-1, in what might have been the best defensive game the team has played in two years.
The 10U Vikings will play in DPT Summer Slugfest in Portage, IN on Saturday and Sunday May 4-5.
