Valpo Americans beat Seymour 13-2 in 4 innings for the 11-and-under State Championship on Sunday. Ronny Morey was the winning pitcher.
Home run hitters today: Ty Gill, Ronny Morey (2), Will Behrend, And Spencer Reed. Logan Mersman made the first and second outs playing first base in the top of the fourth, and Josh Fedorchak caught the game winning third out with a diving catch in center field.
Reed Haller had 4 RBIs. Carter Casko was 3 for 3. Greg Langolis made an awesome left field catch early in the game. Other team members include C.J. Opperman, Michael Smith, Jack Cahill and Ty Puskar.
