Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Summer Co-Ed Flag Football League Registration Going on Now

2014-BGCPC-Flag-FootballYouth ages 6-13 can register now to play in the flag football league offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County this summer. The flag football league is officially endorsed by the NFL. Every player receives an official NFL team-branded jersey and a set of flags to keep. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of flag football and will play in a division based on age. Games will be played among teams from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Valparaiso, South Haven, Portage, and Duneland Units. All games will take place on Saturdays May 31 – July 19, 2014 at “Field of Dreams” located at 700 North and McCool Road in South Haven.

All players must be members of the Club. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County offers affordable $35.00 annual memberships. Flag football league fees are $35.00 for the 6-7 year old division, $40.00 for the 8-10 year old divisions, and $45.00 for 11-13 year old division. Financial aid for membership and league fees are available for those who qualify.

In-person registration is open from April 22-May 17 at the Portage, Duneland and South Haven Units. Parents may sign up Monday-Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM during those weeks. The addresses and phone numbers for the Units are as follows:

The Valparaiso Unit will offer online registration at www.bgcpoco.org from April 22-May 9. Parents may also sign up in person at the Valparaiso Unit (354 W. Jefferson; 219-462-2182) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00-7:00 PM during that registration period.
