The Valparaiso Elks Lodge #500 will be hosting the Annual Hoop Shoot Competition on Thursday and Friday December 11th and 12th. The local competition is being held at the Boys & Girls Club in Valparaiso at 6:00pm. Registration and practice for eligible players will begin at 5:30pm.
This contest is open to all Porter County boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Eligible participants must be between 8 and 13 on April 1, 2015 to participate and move on to the next levels of competition. Proof of age must be supplied at registration and if the age of the child is not correct on April 1, 2015 they will be disqualified.
There are two divisions, boys and girls, and three age categories in each division, 8-9 / 10-11 / 12-13. The winners of each division will advance to the next level.
The Boys & Girls Club is located at 354 Jefferson Street in downtown Valparaiso. There is no pre-registration and all players must be present at 6:00pm when the contest begins.
