Join us for an afternoon sampling fine wines and fresh, flavorful, farm to fork food while helping bring fine and tastefully fresh music to Valparaiso! Valley Kitchen & Bar has partnered with SSO to present a first class event in support of your local community orchestra. South Shore Orchestra celebrates its tenth season promoting culturally rich entertainment at a modest cost in community venues through major concerts and chamber performances.
This is one of two major fundraisers that support the annual costs of programming for the orchestra. The 9th annual wine tasting will take place on Sunday September 14, 1-4 PM at Valley Kitchen & Bar, Valparaiso's first farm-to-fork restaurant, located at 55 Franklin in downtown Valparaiso. Recently featured on the Cooking Channel's Road Trip with G. Garvin, it has become a favorite destination for fine food inspired from locally fresh ingredients.
Five distributors from Indiana and Michigan will volunteer their time and product to benefit SSO's mission--orchestrating a musical community. Over thirty different wines may be sampled and available for purchase with special pricing benefiting the cause. Another valued Valparaiso partner, Old World Market, will process the wine sales with net proceeds going directly to orchestra programming.
Also complimenting the taste experience will be a little shopping from the many fine items offered through silent auction. Jewelry, artwork, scarves and linens from SSO China tours as well as wine and wine accessories will ensure another way to add your generous support to SSO. These proceeds also go directly to orchestra programming.
Tickets will be limited to 75 this year, so hurry to ensure this fine tasting experience with wine, food, shopping while assisting South Shore Orchestra to provide our community with lively, classic, entertaining evenings filled with music at a modest cost. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
