Methodist Hospitals’ Northlake Campus is turning into a healthcare oasis in Gary. On Wednesday, the hospital celebrated the opening of their Outpatient Pharmacy with a blessing and dedication led by hospital and city officials.

Many people in the Region have heard of the VNA of Northwest Indiana, but not all are familiar with the many ways it serves individuals and families needing care. Maria has over 20 years of clinical and managerial experience in Acute Medical/Surgical Care, Women’s Health and Inpatient/Outpatient Behavioral Health. She has served in roles as Director of Nursing and Director of Patient Care Services at Presence Health - St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Mount Mercy University, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Resurrection University, Chicago; and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University, Chicago.
