Juvenile Justice Alternatives For Youth

family-youth-services-bureau-logoThe Family & Youth Services Bureau presents a Family Life Series Workshop, titled “Juvenile Justice Alternatives For Youth” held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, at the FYSB downtown Valparaiso office at 253 W. Lincolnway, Valparaiso.

The workshop is led by Alison M. Cox, the Director of the Porter County Juvenile Detention Center; Chris A. Buyer, the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer in Porter County; and Anthony D. McDonald, the Coordinator for Porter County’s Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) project.

Topics discussed will be: Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI); Juvenile Justice System Improvements; Public Safety; Enhanced Accountability for Porter County Youth; Positive Outcomes for Youth and Families; and Effective Community Based Alternatives for Non-Violent Juvenile Offenders.
