Habitat for Humanity of Porter County Seeks People Needing Homes

Habitat-for-HumanityDO YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT LIVES IN INADQUATE HOUSING?
Do They Live or Work in Porter County?
Do They Need A Hand Up?

Habitat of Humanity of Porter County has just started the 2013 Partner Family Drive and is looking for three great families for their program.

It's the dream we all share. Someplace that's yours. Someplace where the paint's fresh, the plumbing works, and there's enough room for everyone in your family. Someplace where you can pass down to your children or love ones. This is an opportunity that Habitat for Humanity of Porter County wants to put within people's reach.

2013 plan is to build two homes on Cyrus Street in Valparaiso and one home near Lake Elisa.

Families go through a simple 4 step process which includes; attending an orientation session, attending an application session, verification of information, along with home visits. This process is complete and families are notified within 30 days!

So if you know someone who is in adequate housing and just needs a hand up - please pass the information along or come yourself to one of the orientation sessions and learn about Habitat for Humanity! These sessions will be held at the American Legion in downtown Valparaiso (4E Monroe) on Saturday, September 29th from 10-1, October 1st from 10-12, or October 3rd from 4-6. These will be open house style - so they are encouraging people to come out during any of these times. There will be several half an hour presentations.
