2012 Taste of Michigan City Vendor and Volunteer Applications Available

Taste-of-Michigan-CityThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association is now accepting food vendor applications and volunteers for the 2012 Taste of Michigan City on August 4, 2012. The event is 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and volunteers may sign up for several time slots and opportunities. In 2012, the Taste will also feature a bike race event before the event time.

The event is occurring during the Super Boat Great Lakes Grand Prix and will feature a parade of the boats at 6:00 p.m. throughout the Taste. Last year, over 6,000 visitors sampled from over 15 of Michigan City restaurants and food providers. The event is open to restaurants throughout LaPorte County and the deadline to apply is June 2, 2012.

Sponsorships are still available for the Taste and the bike race as well. Possible food vendors must remit an application, which may be found online at www.uptownartsdistrict.org.
