So many great choices for this weekend like celebrating with McAfee Animal Hospital for their 75th anniversary, watching a classic Studio Ghibli film - Princess Mononoke, enjoying the action of Hub of Awesome Waterski Show, listening to your hearts content to the great bands at the Festival of the Lakes or any of the other many options this weekend! This fun musical centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the annual Spelling Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups. Contestants, who finally get their chance to shine, approach the competition with all ferocity of athletes in a state-wide championship game.

Come join McAfee Animal Hospital as we celebrate 75 years of service within our community. Clinic tours, food and fun!

July 21: Knights of Columbus Car & Bike Cruise at Harbor Buick/GMC - Portage, IN
This event is to help raise awareness to Gibault. A great organization that help young people.

July 21: 2nd Annual Hub of Awesome Waterski Show - La Porte, IN
Come witness a spectacular professional waterski show put on by the award winning Lake City Skiers on beautiful Pine Lake in La Porte, Indiana. The show is absolutely free (including parking) and brought to you by some wonderful sponsors who help La Porte Rotary showcase our beautiful lake and community!

July 21: 15th Annual Festival 5K Walk/Run/Splash along Wolf Lake - Hammond, IN
Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation invite walkers and runners of all ages to compete in the Kathleen Pucalik Memorial 5K Walk/Run at the 15th Annual Festival of the Lakes. The walk/run starts and ends at The Wolf Lake Aquatic Play Center on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

July 21: Beat the Heat Summer Fundraiser - Valparaiso, IN
Have a fun filled night of cosmic bowling, mini golf, roller skating and pizza with all proceeds used to offer hope, help, and dignity to children in Africa.

July 22: Studio Ghibli Fest 2018: Princess Mononoke at the Portage 16 IMAX + GDX - Portage, IN
