The 2013 Valparaiso Vikings 10U Baseball Travel Team improved their record to 10-2, going 4-1 in the DPT Summer SlugFest in Portage, IN.
After losing their first Pool Game 8-5 against the Portage Tribe 10’s, the Vikings bounced back in their second Pool Game to beat the Lincoln-way Yellow Jackets 6-3 and never looked back the rest of the Tournament.
Heading into the Elimina on Round, the Vikings easily handled the Portage Tribe 9’s 10-0, and in a rematch against the Portage Tribe 10’s, defeated them 4-2. In the Championship Game against the Lincoln-way Yellow Jackets, the Vikings jumped out to an early lead and held it en-route to a final score win of 6-0.
The 10U Vikings will play in the BPA Karsten’s Umpire Apprecia on Tournament in Michigan City, IN on Saturday and Sunday May 11-12. The Team would like to thank the Sponsors for contributing to the success of the team:
